Drapery cleaning in Orlando, on site

Your drapes stay on the rods. We clean them where they hang, test the fabric first and dry them fast, so there's nothing to take down and nothing to rehang.

Open 24/7 for homes and businesses across Orange, Seminole, Osceola and Lake counties.

What to do right now

A few calm minutes now saves a lot later. Then hand it to us.

  1. Don't take them down yet. Rehanging drapes is harder than it looks, and we clean them in place.
  2. Vacuum gently from the top. A soft brush on low suction lifts dust without pulling the fabric.
  3. Don't wash or steam them yourself. Many drapery fabrics shrink or water-mark, and some colors run.
  4. Spills and water marks: blot only. Press with a clean white towel and leave it. Rubbing spreads the mark.
  5. Check the care tag if you can reach it. It tells us the fiber and the cleaning method the maker allows.
  6. Call or text us at 407-807-8528. A photo of the drapes and the window helps us plan.

Cleaned where they hang

We clean drapes on site, while they hang. Most rooms take under an hour. We test a hidden spot for colorfastness and shrinkage, apply a light mist of cleaning solution, extract it gently with a tool made for fabric, and dry the panels quickly. Fast drying is part of what keeps drapes from shrinking.

Because nothing comes down, nothing gets lost, folded wrong or rehung crooked, and the room is usable again the same day.

Why drapes get dirty faster in Florida

Sun, salt air, pollen and humidity are hard on fabric. Drapes act like a filter for the house: dust, cooking oils and outdoor air settle into them, and in a humid room that soil can turn musty. Sun-facing panels fade and weaken over time, which is why we look at the fabric before cleaning and tell you if it is fragile.

Fine homes

Fine homes often have the most demanding window treatments, and on-site cleaning is often the safest way to care for them.

  • Silk and specialty drapes. Silk, linen, velvet, sheers and lined or interlined panels each get a fabric test and the gentlest method that will clean them.
  • Two-story windows and high ceilings. We clean tall panels in foyers, great rooms and stairwells on site, with the ladders and reach they need.
  • Motorized treatments. We work around motors, tracks and controls so the treatment keeps running smoothly.
  • Delicate trims. Tassels, fringe, beading and contrast banding get extra care, and we test them separately.

Our crew is quiet, uniformed and insured. For homes in gated communities, see Windermere and Dr. Phillips.

Sheers, blackout and lined panels

Not every drape is the same inside. Sheers are light and clean quickly, but they show every water mark, so they get the lightest touch. Blackout and thermal linings have a coated back that must not be soaked or scrubbed. Lined and interlined panels hold moisture between the layers, so we keep the mist light and the drying quick. Valances, swags and cornice fabric get cleaned in place along with the panels.

If a panel is sun-rotted or already tearing, we will tell you before we clean it rather than after.

After smoke or water

Drapes hold smoke odor long after a fire, and a roof leak or a burst pipe can stain them. Smoke-damaged drapes need cleaning to remove the residue, not a cover-up scent. See fire and smoke damage or water damage if that's how they got dirty.

Pricing

Drapery is priced on site, because size, fabric, lining and height all matter. Ask for a quote on our pricing page, or call or text 407-807-8528. We confirm the price before any work starts.

How a drapery cleaning goes

  1. Look and test

We check the fabric, lining and trims, and test a hidden spot for colorfastness and shrinkage.

  2. Dust and vacuum

Loose dust comes off first, top to bottom.

  3. Clean in place

A light mist of solution, then gentle extraction across each panel.

  4. Dry fast

Quick drying keeps the fabric from shrinking and leaves the room usable the same day.

  5. Dress the panels

We set the pleats and folds so they hang the way they should.

Common questions

Do you take the drapes down?

No. We clean them on site, where they hang, so there is nothing to take down or rehang.

Will my drapes shrink?

We test first, use a light mist instead of soaking, and dry fast, which is what keeps fabric from shrinking. If a fabric is too fragile, we tell you before we start.

Can you clean silk drapes and motorized treatments?

Yes, after testing the fabric. We work around motors and tracks so the treatment keeps working.

How often should drapes be cleaned?

Every year or two for most homes, sooner near the coast, in kitchens and living areas, or in homes with pets, smokers or allergies.

How long does it take?

Most rooms take under an hour, and the drapes dry quickly.

How much does drapery cleaning cost?

It is priced on site, because size, fabric, lining and height all change the job. Call or text for a quote.
